501 LIFE recently hosted a birthday party to mark the magazine’s first year of publication.

About 200 guests – advertisers, contributors and friends – were recently treated to a special evening at Doe’s restaurant in Downtown Conway. The event was complete with a gourmet chocolate birthday cake prepared by chefs Don Bingham and Jill McCollum.

“To a magazine that sets the standard in publicizing central Arkansas, the people who make the back bone behind it, and wide range of community partners that help this magazine soar in to the hearts of many in which to call it ‘the people’s choice,’ 501LIFE embraces the love of families, advertises the successes of the community, and bounds the bonds of each and every person that live in the central part of the great state of Arkansas,” said Matthew Huff, emcee for the event.

Publishers Sonja Keith, Tracy Ferrell and Donna Spears recognized three special groups associated with the magazine – the 501 LIFE Editorial Board, contributors and advertisers – and thanked them for their support.

The event committee was also recognized – chairman Monica Lieblong, Jennifer Whitehead, Rae Lynn Callaway, Kayla Cooper, Don Bingham, Beth Longing, Pat Otto and Glenn Crockett.

“We had an incredible committee of editorial board members and other special 501 friends who put the birthday party together,” said Sonja. “They did a fabulous job and we can’t thank them enough for their hard work, their support but most of all their friendship.

“We have been so blessed in our first year of publication and it was a wonderful celebration.”
