501 LIFE recently hosted a party to celebrate the magazine’s fifth birthday.

KARK 4 News co-anchors Mallory Hardin Brooks and Matt Mosler were emcees for the event, which was organized by members of the Faulkner County Editorial Board.

The party was held in The Brick Room in Downtown Conway. 501 LIFE board members Johnny Adams, Jack Bell, Julie LaRue and Don Bingham shared testimonials about the magazine and its impact on Central Arkansas. The festivities also included a “Pathway to Success” memorabilia display, a video and music provided by a string ensemble of the Conway Symphony Orchestra.

Members of the editorial board presented 501 LIFE publishers Donna Spears and Sonja Keith with a “big check” representing $501 they contributed in honor of the magazine’s fifth birthday to a hunger endowment fund. Those attending the event were also given an opportunity to donate $5 toward the fund, established by the Faulkner County affiliate of the Arkansas Community Foundation. In all, $1,007 was collected.
