The Morrilton Devil Dogs and Searcy Lions recently met up in Morrilton in Week 3 of the high school football season.

It was the last non-conference matchup for both teams before they began conference play. Morrilton, the defending 5A champions, beat the Lions 35-28.

Terrence Minor, Morrilton’s representative on this year’s 501 Football Team, rushed for 274 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Searcy senior kicker/punter Chris Qualls was also selected to this year’s 501 Football Team.
