An April 25 tornado dealt a big blow to Vilonia, but its residents remain determined to pick up the pieces and work toward the city’s continued growth.

Black Oak Ranch was the hardest hit with extensive damage also reported in the Quail Hollow subdivision. The Vilonia Auction was destroyed, and other businesses sustained minor damage, but overall the town’s commercial district was spared.

Cleanup efforts began almost immediately.

Different groups, colleges and churches have sent volunteers to Vilonia to help with the cleanup.
