A weekend of outdoor dining and entertainment in Argenta

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Get ready for a weekend filled with flavor, fun and fantastic entertainment as Argenta Arts District hosts another Dogtown Throwdown block party on May 10th and 11th. This two-day event begins with Main St. closing from Broadway to 5th St. at 4 pm Friday and ends at 10 pm Saturday. The weekend promises to be an unforgettable experience for the entire community.

Dogtown Throwdown is hosted by Argenta Downtown Council, sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Ben E. Keith Foods, Alessi Keyes Construction, North Little Rock Tourism and Simmons Bank, in partnership with Blackberry Market, Brood & Barley, Crush Wine Bar, Draft + Table, Flyway Brewing, Four Quarter Bar, Reno’s Argenta Cafe, Skinny J’s Argenta, The Culture and The Joint Comedy Theater.

Friday, May 10

4 pm: Kick off the weekend with a delicious drink during Dogtown Happy Hour

6 pm: Continue the fun with a blast from the past! Roper Romp Happy Hour & 70s/80s Dance Party with DJ Drip Funk
7 pm: Groove to covers of 80s, 90s and today’s hits from Just Cuz, performing live on the steps of Argenta Library

Saturday, May 11 

11 am – 2 pm: Fall in love with a furry friend! Meet adorable animals from the NLR Animal Shelter and maybe even find your new forever companion.

12-2 pm: Indulge in champagne or mimosa specials from various Argenta restaurants during “Sparkling Saturday” as we toast to the weekend in style. 

Starting at 2 pm: Satisfy your seafood cravings with a mouthwatering crawfish boil hosted by Four Quarter Bar

5 pm: Sit back, relax, and enjoy the acoustic sounds of Chris “Bucket” Shelton as he performs live outside Blackberry Market.

7 pm: Close out the weekend festivities with a high-energy performance from Nik Parr & The Selfless Loverson the main stage next to Argenta Library. Get ready to dance the night away under the stars!
